On Saturday, Israeli emergency services reported that rockets launched from Lebanon injured 11 individuals in central Israel, with one projectile striking a residential building. This incident comes amid diminishing hopes for a ceasefire.
Since September, tensions have intensified between Israeli forces and the Lebanese Hezbollah group, diminishing prospects for a ceasefire despite recent U.S. efforts to mediate the situation.
“We went outside and were met with dust, the sounds of children and women screaming, as everyone rushed to the house that had been struck,” recounted Qasim Mohab, a resident of Tira, the site of the rocket impact. “Emergency responders successfully evacuated and rescued individuals trapped inside the house, expressing gratitude that there were no fatalities.”
At the moment the rockets struck, Hezbollah announced that it had aimed at a military installation located on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.
According to Israel’s ambulance service, 11 individuals sustained injuries from shrapnel. In northern Israel, air raid sirens persistently echoed as the military reported ongoing rocket fire and drone assaults originating from Lebanon.
On Friday, Lebanon’s health ministry reported that Israeli strikes on over a dozen towns in the Baalbek region, home to UNESCO-listed Roman ruins, resulted in the deaths of 52 individuals.
On Saturday, the Israeli military announced that it had eliminated two Hezbollah commanders in the vicinity of Tyre the previous day. Hezbollah has issued no immediate response.

This action came just one day after Hamas militants launched a deadly assault on Israel on October 7, 2023, resulting in the deaths of approximately 1,200 individuals and the abduction of 251 hostages, as reported by Israeli sources.
According to the health ministry in the Hamas-run enclave, over 43,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in Israel’s offensive in Gaza. Additionally, Lebanon’s health ministry reported on Friday that at least 2,897 individuals have been killed in the conflict.
According to Israeli authorities, Hezbollah’s fire has resulted in the deaths of seventy-one individuals in Israel and the Israeli-occupied territories.
