Authorities in India have apprehended seven individuals in connection with a break-in at the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh located in Agartala, where property was reportedly vandalised.
Additionally, four police personnel have faced administrative action.
Among the four police officials, three hold the rank of sub-inspector. The individuals in question have been suspended. A deputy superintendent has been relieved of duty and instructed to report to police headquarters.
K Kiran Kumar, the superintendent of police for Paschim Tripura district, has confirmed the news to the Indian news agency PTI.
Kiran Kumar informed that authorities have arrested seven individuals concerning a case registered at the New Capital Complex police station. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.

Tripura’s Chief Minister Manik Saha has condemned yesterday’s attack, stating that such behaviour is unacceptable while peaceful demonstrations are welcome.
In a recent development, a local organisation declared its intention to conduct a demonstration titled ‘Bangladesh Cholo’ (March to Bangladesh) today. However, according to Kiran Kumar, law enforcement officials have prohibited the event.
