Khalil al-Hayya, the Gaza chief of Hamas, acknowledged on Sunday that the leader of the group’s weapons production was killed in an Israeli strike in the Gaza Strip the previous day.
In a televised statement on Al-Aqsa TV, Hayya stated, “The Palestinian people are presently enduring challenging circumstances and experiencing significant suffering… with over 70,000 martyrs, the most recent being the mujahid commander Raed Saad and his associates.”
On Saturday, Israel announced the elimination of Raed Saad, characterizing him as “one of the architects” of the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel that initiated the conflict in Gaza.
