On Saturday, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan asserted that Israel’s recent military actions against Iran, occurring just prior to a new round of nuclear negotiations with the United States, were intended to undermine the talks. He emphasized that these actions indicated Israel’s reluctance to pursue diplomatic solutions to the ongoing issues.
During a foreign ministers’ meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul, Erdogan called on nations with sway over Israel to disregard its “poison” and to pursue a resolution to the ongoing violence through dialogue, emphasizing the importance of preventing a broader conflict.
He urged Muslim nations to intensify their actions in enforcing punitive measures against Israel, citing international law and United Nations resolutions as the foundation for such efforts.
