Kim Jong Un: North Korea's nuclear weapons to grow exponentially

In a recent announcement, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un revealed that the country is currently pursuing a nuclear force construction policy aimed at significantly expanding its arsenal of atomic weapons. This development was reported by state media outlet KCNA on Tuesday.

According to KCNA, Kim emphasized the importance of North Korea’s nuclear capability and its readiness to use it to safeguard the security rights of the state during a speech on the country’s founding anniversary on Monday.

He emphasized the importance of a robust military presence to address the numerous challenges the United States and its allies presented.

According to Kim, North Korea is currently dealing with what it perceives as a significant danger posed by a nuclear-focused military alliance led by the United States in the region.

The recent diversification of nuclear delivery systems, as well as the tests and launches of multiple ballistic missiles by Pyongyang, were strongly condemned by South Korea’s deputy defense minister for policy, Cho Chang-rae, along with his counterparts from the US and Japan.

In a joint statement released by the US State Department, it was reported that during their meeting in Seoul, the three individuals expressed their dedication to enhancing trilateral cooperation to maintain peace in the region. This commitment includes taking measures to deter the nuclear and missile threats posed by North Korea.

In addition, they have agreed to conduct another trilateral military exercise called Freedom Edge shortly.

On Tuesday, South Korea is set to convene a defense ministerial meeting with the United Nations Command (UNC) member states.

The leader of the UNC is the US military commander stationed in South Korea.

In a recent development, Germany joined the UNC in South Korea, a crucial organization responsible for monitoring the heavily fortified border with North Korea. Germany has committed to defend the South in the event of a war, further strengthening the alliance.

North Korea has expressed strong criticism towards the UNC, labeling it as an “illegal war organization.” Additionally, they have raised concerns about Germany’s participation in the US-led UN border monitoring force, stating that it contributes to escalating tensions.
