Trump asserts that Israel and Iran breached the ceasefire

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump leveled accusations against both Israel and Iran for breaching a ceasefire he had just announced. His remarks reflected notable frustration towards Israel, which had revealed intentions for significant new military actions against Tehran.

Israel. Those bombs mustn’t be dropped. Engaging in such an action constitutes a significant breach of regulations. “It is imperative to bring your pilots home immediately!” Shortly after departing the White House for a NATO summit in The Hague, Trump took to Truth Social to share his thoughts.

Prior to boarding, he expressed to reporters his dissatisfaction with both parties for breaching the truce, specifically criticizing Israel for what he described as “unloading” immediately after the agreement was reached.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that he had directed the military to conduct new strikes on targets in Tehran, citing Iranian missile launches as a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire agreement.

Iran has refuted claims of missile launches, asserting that Israel’s assaults persisted for an additional hour and a half past the designated start of the ceasefire.

A palpable sense of relief swept through both countries, the broader Middle East, and beyond, as a path out of war emerged. This development came 12 days after Israel initiated a surprise attack, followed by the United States’ involvement just two days later.

“We are pleased, quite pleased.” The specifics of who mediated or the circumstances surrounding the event are irrelevant. The conflict has come to an end. “It never should have started in the first place,” said Reza Sharifi, 38, as he made his way back to Tehran from Rasht, a city by the Caspian Sea where he had moved with his family to avoid the strikes on the capital. He spoke to Reuters by telephone.

Arik Diamant, a software engineer based in Tel Aviv, expressed his sorrow, stating, “Regrettably, it’s a bit too late for my family and me because our house back here was destroyed in the recent bombings last Sunday.” As the saying goes, ‘better late than never,’ and there is hope that this ceasefire marks a new beginning.

In a recent post on Truth Social, Trump declared, “THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT.”  “We urge you to respect this directive!”
